Bedtime
Not the prettiest photo but I thought it was worth a post. This is Mooky in his bed. It’s a big round pillow covered with a twin size fitted sheet. When it starts to get dark out Mooky will ask for his Blankie as he calls it. If I don’t respond to him quickly he repeats “Blankie, Blankie, Blankie!” He sleeps there until I go to bed and then I’ll put him in his cage but first he'll have a poop in the toilet and a drink of water. I make sure he poops first because he won't poop in his cage. I know probably too much information. And sometimes as a real treat I’ll let him stay under his Blankie all night!

I, myself had a Blankie, and I can tell you that they are wonderful! I don't blame Mooky for sleeping in it all night, sometimes.
You have to do a lot of stuff to keep pets happy. The poop thing is just another one. It's how we show our love! Sounds like he's a treasure to live with!
One of my dogs loves being under our blankets on the bed. Not happy unless she is there...
I wish Tikaani would sleep under her blankie, not the human's blankie! What a wonderful tribute this site is to a friend. Along with the extra birds you show us.
That is so cute! He actually says Blankie?! Cuter still.
my mom's amazon, after supper says "Mom, Nite Nite !" Then goes into the closet and counts every chew toy, climbs up on the bed for head scratches and quil pulling. There is no diviation, or a big toe gets a nip. I use to have a soft toni tiger hand puppet i slept with, then dad said i'm too old for it, and gave it to the dog "Samson"i almost didn't finish college. :)
Hi! I created another blog @ http://thecarpaltunneloflove.blogspot.com along with my other one @ http://falloutboyinfinityonhigh.blogspot.com .... Hope you check it out!!!
Hi Sharon. Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments. Glad you enjoyed the photos. Mooky is so cute!! You must be having such fun and lovely moments with him.

That's pretty good. Jasper sleeps in a 'bed'. It's a small carrier lined with paper towels (which she shreds). She has a teddy bear inside and I wrap it with a blankie, leaving a little opening for fresh air. I had another bird who would go under the papers in the bottom of his cage (Eddie, RIP). I think birds like to be cozy and safe. Mooky is very cool.
BTW, I did used to have an Af. Grey, named Sunny Bird. for 23 years.
Honey you have to do more of a side view so people can see his little body--
I think your blog is so great. Thank you so much for sharing! I love this photo. Too cute!
crazy bitch - I myself never had a blankie as a kid but as an adult I do have a fuzzy one on the couch I love to cover up with.
mrmanuel - I wouldn't want Mooky under our blankets on the bed I think we would be chewed on all night!
Archie - I'm happy you enjoy Mooky's Hood... I'm with you not much for animals in my bed.
Glorious - He is too darn cute sometimes I must admit. And yes, he actually says, "Blankie."
Mark Bridges - I would love to see a video clip of him going through his evening ritual.
Singer_Dancer - Will do.
Ladyhawk - We do have a good time with him... he can be so amusing.
Triple B - I agree that birds like to be cozy and safe. Pets are so funny!
Honey - I know but I needed something to post & this was all I had available. We'll have to take more shots & repost.
Jenn - Thanks for stopping back & Mooky is more than willing to share because I think he knows he's cute!
Ooh, I like your blog! I have a cockatiel brother called CC-man at home. He thinks he's smart, but I think he could learn a lot from you :)
I do think CC-man will be jealous when he hears you get tiny pancakes for breakfast.

I think having pet is very good for mental health.
It makes live perky.
I also have a pet, dog.
Mooky won't poop in his cage??? Wow that is one clean bird. My birds have no reservations about that whatsoever. They are out most of the day, but will still go inside to eat, drink and poop.
My birds love to snooze under blankets as well, but only under supervision. On the nights Mooky sleeps in this bed all night, don't you worry that he might get up and wander around (leaving a wake of destruction)?
T-man - Thanks for stopping by! Please give CC Man a shout out from Mooky!
Catalyst0527 - I thnsk you too for stopping by. I visited your site and will try out some of the recipes you posted. I love to cook!
Sonja - Your concerns of Mooky staying under the blankie all night are the same concerns I have. But Mooky does have his own room. In the event he crawls out from under his blankie he has always gone into his cage. But for the most part he sleeps under his sheets.
Mooky sleeps in Blankie? You really treat your parrot well, he is such a lucky parrot.
We that have pets all have cute stories to tell about ours. My cat sleeps pretty much where she wants to . As a matter of fact right now she's laying by the screened in window catching the breeze.
