Loving the Marrow

Getting the marrow out of a chicken bone can be tedious work but not for Mooky… he loves cracking open the bones and savoring the marrow inside. Savoring is probably not the right word to use since he usually eats them in a frenzied hurry.

I have this on video clip but it's too long to post and besides I don’t have the clip with me at work.. One of these days I’ll have to edit the clip so I can post it!

This is a short post but I wanted to put up something since its been awhile since my last post!

I love my new bike...so much that I ride it every single day that i possilby can....

I have insured my bike against theft... so at least it can replace it if it gets stolen... I had to buy a lock reccomended by the insurance company but that is okay...

how sad that two faries died.. :o(

my chipmunks love chicken bones too... they do the same thing.

Sharon ~ I would never ever expect a bird would eat other bird’s parts... but then I guess I shouldn't be THAT surprised because I see hawks sweep down in my yard and take out a sparrow every now and then. This seems to be more prevalent in winter when the pickin's are slimmer though. ~ jb///

what a great photo! Jazzy loves cooked egg yolk. She doesn't like meat at all, though I've never given her a bone to chew on! What a sleek looking fellow he is. :)

Mooky is definitely a patient soul - very zen and centered!

I love the marrow out of bones. Mooky knows a good thing when he sees it.

Haha, I know its not a bad thing for birds to get variety in their diet but for some reason this image reminds me of a Hannibal the cannibal moment. LOL But go figure that every one universally seems to love the drumstick.

My father used to do this, too. Crack the bones, savor the marrow.
