There You Are

Once in a while Mooky gets lucky and we forget to put up the barricade that prevents him from sneaking off into other areas of the house causing damage. (The barricade is a bamboo room divider with a fake crow perched on top… One of these days I’ll post a picture of it.) This day I caught him in our walk-in closet snooping around my shoes for what reason I’m not exactly sure. Though I have to admit he can be cute when he’s caught… sometimes he says “Eh!” & other times he just puffs up like he did in this photo.

Hi Sharon.. a tip of the hat to the best chef in Sierra Madre! -and that of course is not Mooky. Love the shot of macho Mooky - you take that with your new camera? Maybe you can post a shot next time he heads for the ceramic elephant. In the meantime a pleasant weekend to you...

Mooky might like to nest into your shoe, cozy and snug-like. Such a cutie!

He is saying "eh, you caught me."

My mom had an umbrella cockatoo who was unsupervised and loose for just a few minutes and chewed up a huge section of an expensive coffee table. These little scoundrels just can't help themselves. I am so paranoid, I don't let my birds walk around anywhere else in the house except their cages, playpens, mobile perches, my shoulder, or supervised visits to the couch or kitchen counter. So far, so good, no damage!
I can just imagine the "eh" Mooky says when he knows he's guilty of overstepping. So darn smart!
Can't wait to see that room divider.

Busted! Pretty funny. I bet he was having a great adventure.

Irresistibly cute! Jazzy also has super charming ways of diverting attention at the moment of discovery when she does something she knows she's not supposed to.

I love the "puff up!"

"I promise I was just looking around Mom! I swear on my feathers." ;-)

Mooky looks so cute and innocent!! Hahaha. Great shot, btw. Mooky's eye looks so alive and the feather details are fantastic, especially round the neck area.

w.k. moore - Thank you so much for the compliments... that was a pretty good hamburger if I must say so myself.

Ruth - That could be but he has chewed on a couple of my shoes too.

Anali - Thanks... stop by again soon!

glorious - The tone he uses sounds exactly like... "Eh, you caught me!"

Sonja - He has done some damage to the base boards & a lot of damage to the bathroom closet doors... hence the need for the barricade. Macaws are so big I can only imagine the damage they would do!

Schnoodlepooh - I'm sure he was having a great adventure. Do the Triple-B's go on adventures?

Honey - I know... I know!

Lisabindacity - That's the puff of guilt.

mrmanuel - Not yet... that is that I have found.

ladyhawk - Looks can be deceiving!

hahaha....looks like mooky's shrugging his shoulders and doing a 'shaggy'...."wasn't me!".

I know that cute puffed up look. My bird used to do that when he'd got caught shredding a £20 note and tucking it in his feathers or plopping in your coffee while perched on the edge of your mug! He knew he'd been bad but he knew he was cute enough to get away with it!

CC-man likes to chew the ends of Mom's shoelaces. Maybe Mooky was just deciding what to chew on first..

Mooky looks really cute.
Look at his innocent eyes! :)

Sorry I haven't been by lately. I've been working.

You take really good pictures! I don't have a digital camera, yet. I agree with Glorious. He knew he was caught. But may I also suggest that the puffing up was embarrassment?

hahahaha..."sometimes he says "eh"...hahaha. I can just hear it...Does he do it with attitude..

moggie - You could be right but we all know it was him!

barkfoot - They do love to play the Cute Card.

t-man - So far he hasn't chewed on any shoe laces but give him time. That CC-Man is such a character.

catalyst0527 - Those innocent eyes are very deceiving.

crazy bitch- After reading your most recent post I understand why you haven't been by in a while. I never thought the puff might be embarassment.

Sandy - I think the puff is more signs of his attitude at the time of being caught.
