Mooky Flying Into Painting

I'm not sure why Mooky does this but it is sort of fun to watch. I know the video is a little slow/long in some spots but hang in there the last shot is the best!

One weekend I was sitting on the sofa wathing TV and I heard Mooky taking brief flights off of his perch. When I turned around he just stood there like he wasn't up to anything. So I waited patiently with camera in hand for him to do it again and of course he couldn't help himself. Maybe he really likes the painting or maybe he thinks it's a portal into another world.

Anyone else out there ever see your bird do something like this?

Heh no, but my doves have used my hands as portable nesting sites and have known to put they're whole head in my mouth. Sort of a reversed "human puts head in lions mouth" routine. Then they sort of investigate the contents of my teeth. Only they won't find much. ;)

I'm flattered. I'm going with he want's a closer look,
but so real he thinks he can fly into it isn't bad.;-)

Hey Honey we should put another painting there to see if he does the same thing. But I'm sure it's because he loves your paintings!

That's amazing. Maybe he thinks it's another open window?

A couple of years ago while i was visiting a friend my parrot attacked an old chair.
Weeks later while visiting an uncle
she had a go at a cabinet.
Guess what these two items of furniture had in common?

...w.o.o.d.w.o.r.m...

Just wondering:
Does your painting have a wooden frame?

Sonja - I thought about that but he has never flown towards any windows.

Gargoyle - Interesting... and yes the frame is wooden.

I think the bird is trying to get out. It looks a painting of a house or something. He wants to travel.
