Pushing Boundaries

Mooky loves to push his boundaries but I’m sure most of you have figured that out by now. Occassionally while I’m in the livingroom watching TV, DVD's whatever (BTW one of my favorite past times that is other than working in the yard) he’ll fly over and perch on the back of the couch. Every now and then I think whats the harm in this so I let him stay there. Usually after just a few short minutes I'll hear little faints sounds of parrot beak chewing on the upholstery of the sofa.

This is when the Sofa Ducky is needed not much different than the Blue Bathroom Ducky only he’s not light blue and he doesn't reside in the bathroom linen closet.

Mooky attempts to stand his ground with the Sofa Ducky Ducky but gives up and flies back to his perch only to try it all over again in about 5 minutes.

Chewing is SUCH good fun - big mean ducks shouldn't get in the way! :)

I'm glad to see Mooky looking so happy :) Max doesn't like to chew on our couch, but we have to be careful when she's on the bathroom door or the fridge. Yikes!

Honey - I know... Soon we might have to get a real ducky!

Mary - If not the couch there's always something else to chew on!

mrsmogul - I wish he would then maybe I wouldn't have to work!

lisabindacity - Yup... you just gotta love it.

Sonja - Sounds like you have a sofa chewer too.

In his candy land jungle, all is edible and deserves a nibble even if its guarded by ferocious cloth ducks of various plumages.

Pushing boundaries is what they like to do isn't it! Jazzy has recently discovered the couch. I put toys wrapped in colored paper for her to play with, and this distracts her for a bit. But her real focus is the table (which has tonnes of stuff on it, very interesting stuff it seems) - and so she's not chewing on the sofa - yet! :) My efforts for the time being are concentrated on keeping her off the table and the computer.

that's pretty funny. our mom always thought we needed an alligator to keep our birds off of the floor, but we do that job now. hee hee.

Hee hee, that ducky trick is a good idea. Mom needs one for CC-man to keep him away from most everything.

My conure had no fear of anything. She trained the dog to stand under her perch so he could cart her around the house. She would hide up next to his head so that you wouldn't be able to see her coming. He transported her to all kinds of out of bounds areas. There was nothing that could stop her as long as she had her doggie chariot lol.
